Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
Recurring UTIs deserve a real workup — not just another antibiotic.
If UTIs keep coming back, the goal shouldn't be another prescription — it's finding out why. We evaluate carefully and build a prevention plan tailored to you.
For: Anyone with recurrent, resistant, or complicated urinary infections.
When to see a urologist
- Three or more UTIs in a year
- UTI with fever, back pain, or vomiting — this can be urgent
- UTI after menopause, catheter use, or urologic procedures
- Blood in the urine, with or without symptoms
How we'll evaluate it
- Focused urine cultures with sensitivities
- Imaging (ultrasound or CT) and cystoscopy when appropriate
- Review of contributing factors: hormones, hydration, anatomy
Treatment options we offer
Targeted antibiotic strategy
Choosing the right drug for the right bug — not empirical guesses.
Prevention plans
Hydration, hygiene, vaginal estrogen when indicated, and non-antibiotic prophylaxis.
Treatment of underlying issues
Stones, prolapse, incomplete emptying — we address the root cause when we find one.
Recurring UTIs are frustrating and exhausting. We take them seriously and work to actually solve them.
